We stock and supply a wide range of single and double sided adhesives produced by companies such as 3M, Lohmann, Tesa and Nitto. Each type of adhesive has advantages and disadvantages which make them more or less suitable for particular applications. Our range encompasses Silicone and Acrylic based adhesives.
Silicone Adhesives
The benefits of silicone have long been used to formulate adhesive products due to their flexibility, temperature cycling resistance, chemical resistance, and its wide range of properties.
Characteristics & Performance
- Low modulus at sub-ambient temperature
- High temperature resistance
- Consistent performance over wide temperature range
- Excellent ageing and UV resistance
- Good resistance to polar solvents
Acrylic Adhesives
Acrylic adhesives can either be split into two main categories:
Pure Acrylic
Pure acrylic adhesives share the following characteristics:
- Reasonable adhesion to a wide range of substrates
- Good ageing, transmittance and UV resistance
- Reasonable temperature resistance
Modified Acrylic
Modified acrylics have the same characteristics as pure acrylics, but have superior adhesion to the hard-to-bond-plastics mentioned above. Generally, these are more expensive than pure acrylics and are used for plastic bonding (including vinyl and linoleum), lamination and splicing.
